If you have trouble with PHC you can ask and hope for help here.

Hi, I use this ebuild: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283472
Here is what happens when I try to load phc-intel:
# modprobe phc-intel
FATAL: Error inserting phc_intel (/lib/modules/2.6.33-git2/misc/phc-intel.ko): Device or resource busy

This is my kernel config:
http://darkbasic.homelinux.com/varie/2. ... config.txt

Cheers,
Darkbasic

You have the acpi-cpufreq driver build-in into your kernel. This driver need to b replaced by PHC (whis is just a modified acpi-cpufreq driver).

You need to build or get a kernel where this driver is compiled as module so you can replace it with phc-intel.
