phc-autostart

Post by erazortt » Sat 15. Nov 2008, 20:55

Hi,

first of all I would like to thank you very much for the nice undervoltage tools!
I'm using Linux for only some weeks but i already was missing my good old rmclock very badly.

I'm currently setting the voltages with the phc-autostart.
I wanted to state that the installation through install.py did not work at first.
Line 76 of this file wants to make an Direct Link the the wrong filename.
By changing in that line "phc-autovids.py" to "phc-autostart.py" it worked out.
Also i would line to point out that for me it was easier to change the config file before
running the install.py, because afterwards it was not possible to change it (yes, i was root).

I'm running on fedora with a patched 2.6.26.6-79 kernel. The patch applied is your cpufreq patch.

The first thing (wrong file name) is fixed (I'll upload it later).

But the second thing (chaning the config file) i did not understand.
Can you describe the problem better, please?

Thank you.

Hi,

well my problem was that even as root i could not edit /etc/phc-autovids, so that i had to do edit phc-autovids before setup.
But today i could not reproduce that, so i have no idea what went wrong there ...

And now after one more week of perfect working i want to thank you again for this nice tools!!! :D
