PAE kernel or not?

Hi,
I have an intel core 2 duo t9550 and 4GB RAM on ubuntu karmic 32bit.
I was going to install the phc kernels and I saw the pae kernels to address all the 4GB of memory (instead of the approx 3 i can see now).

Is it worth it?
Do you know if there's some drawback/instability?
I stopped installing Ubuntu64 cause it was always 2 steps behind the 32bit one, a lot of crashes and unsupported SW.
What about pae kernels?

thanks

Hi,

I think the only drawback of pae kernels is that old non-pae cpus aren't supported.
Of course, this won't affect you and therefore I really recommend you installing the pae kernel because who wants to lose 1GB of memory ;)
