Fedora 11 - 2.6.29-6 working

Hi.

Thanks for this, glad I found it.

I have a T5750 and I was having a lot of trouble with overheating and my laptop suddenly shutting down. You can imagine what mess this causes if it happens during compile and install processes.

Using the processor finder tool I checked the specs for my CPU and found that the VID range should be
1.075V-1.175V

However, it was much higher for me.
So I downloaded the technical documentation and found that
VCCHFM = 1.0375 - 1.3000 V
VCCLFM = 0.7500 - 0.9500 V

So I adjusted my settings to read
docter[/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq] cat phc_default_controls phc_controls
12:43 10:35 8:27 6:19
12:37 10:31 8:19 6:19
docter[/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq]
Now my laptop idles at 45-48°, and only starts my fan if I do some proc intensive tasks, but not extending 70°, just as it should be.

Thanks a lot.

Oh, btw...
docter[/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq] uname -r;cat phc_version
2.6.29.6-209.rc1.fc11.x86_64
0.3.2:2
docter[/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq]
And I used the offtree module.
