Re: Is Ubuntu 13.04 with kernel 3.10.9-031009 supported ?

Hi Bandleiner, phc-k8 v0.4.5b2 supports all 3.10.* kernels, however it is intended for AMD processors (starting from K8). phc-intel is meant for Intel CPU's, however no "Core i" processors supports undervolting as Intel removed that feature from its chips. To make things even worse, Intel even decid...

Re: Attempting to use with 3.11

Thanks, I had already started working on this. If I remember well, there have been other (trivial) changes to cpufreq/powernow-k8 as well that I would like to add before I'm releasing phc-k8 0.4.5. May I add you to my list of testers...? ;)

Re: Fix for linux-3.x support in phc-k8

Glad to hear... Just in time, 3.10 was released yesterday 8-)

I intend to test a bit (more) on my hardware, update the changelog/version and then release it as stable...

Re: Fix for linux-3.x support in phc-k8

DavidG have you been able to spare some time around PHC patch? 3.10 looks like is just around the corner  I have tried to incorporate the latest changes to 3.10 and I just uploaded a v0.4.5b2 version driver that should hopefully work. Unfortunately I am unable to test it at the moment, but th...

Re: Fix for linux-3.x support in phc-k8

Thanks for noticing! Unfortunately I haven't had much chance to work on phc-k8 (nor one of my other projects), but I will try to modify the phc-k8 driver (and perhaps finally release it as stable driver ;-) ). Looking at the git history, the changes don't seem to be very big. I should be able to fix...

Re: Status of linux-PHC

AFAIK, you can't do it on the processor, only if we can actually access the Voltage Regulator Module (on the motherboard) We might be able to scale down the voltages... I'm afraid it won't be possible otherwise. (Unless there is some secret, hidden Intel feature that no-one has located yet...)

Re: Fix for linux-3.x support in phc-k8

After compiling kernel 3.8.2 I have just tried your fix by adding it to the phc-k8.c. It compiled fine, but it returned a warning WARNING: "cpufreq_get_measured_perf" [/usr/src/patches-kernel/phc-k8_v0.4.5b1/phc-k8.ko] undefined! Please take a look if there is something else that would need fixing ...

Re: Fix for linux-3.x support in phc-k8

The previous problem was in fact created by linking to the old module however here come new one ;) For some reason it errors out on the new kernel - linux-3.8-rc4 :( Please check below and see if there is any possibility of fixing it pc phc-k8_v0.4.5b1 # make make -C /lib/modules/3.8.0-rc4/build SU...
