Re: Kernels 2.6.38 +

Thanks. I hadn't thought to check that forum, and apparently my search-fu is very weak.

[solved] Kernels 2.6.38 +

Not much in the way of new releases. Does anyone have a patch for 2.6.38?

Code: Select all

Re: Kernel 2.6.35(-rc6)

Has anyone had a look at andy's patch? It builds fine on 2.6.37 final, but it would be nice if an admin could review it and if it's good maybe move it to the downloads page.

Re: Problems in installing PHC intel....

I'm a bit skeptical of his rather clever script to determine appropriate voltages. On my old cpu (a duo core 22something) the intel spec said that any attempt to draw less than the minimum voltage (e.g., 19) would simply result in the default settings being applied. So people are applying vids that ...

Re: init.d scripts

Here is a link to my Debian (Squeeze) phc guide. An init.d script is included, as is required modifications to insserv.conf and a sleep.d script for pm-utils.

Corrections, improvements, etc., most welcome.

Re: Can't set VIDS using phc-intel-0.3.99-15

Ok.. I downloaded the latest stable vanilla kernel from kernel.org, applied the patches for 2.6.32 from the /inc/ directory, and even though test applying gave errors, I applied patches anyway, had to select the acpi file name (not ending in orig) and compiled without errors. Currently seems to be w...

Re: Can't set VIDS using phc-intel-0.3.99-15

Hi TF, I tried to use the .32 release, but two out of five hunks failed on kernel 2.6.30-2 (Debian Squeeze). I also tried some of the off-tree versions under /inc but without success.

Any idea which version I can use with kernel 2.6.30-2?
