If you have a Pentium M, phc doesn't work on Kernel 3.

Apparently they changed the way unicore processors (like the Pentium M) are handled with kernel 3.0. The culprit seems to be this patch:

If you know how to create a ppa kernel that does not supersede and replace the default ubuntu kernel or will be replaced by a superseding ubuntu kernel we really like to know how that works. Is it possible to create a new package like the generic and server packages, like maybe linux-headers-2.6.28...
