Re: [SOLVED] PHC Patch Installs No Files

the problem here is that the make install process uses a different kernel version for installing the modul. i don't know why that happens (its should be the same as the make process uses). so look in the output of the make process and if there is the right kernel version written you can copy the mod...

Re: Thinkpad X61s (Core 2 Duo L7500)

hey bluesceada, the reason for the different default fid vid pairs is that every cpu (including that ones from the same waver) have different production margins and so the default voltages would be adjusted for every cpu itself. so it may happen that cpus with same type and family could have the sam...

Re: using only one core on DualCore

i think the i5 as dual core also don't support real shutdown of one core. you need 2 hardware cpus that you can shutdown one and save power.

Re: using only one core on DualCore

you can shutdown one core of a dual core cpu but the only result will be that you can't use it. the power consumption will be the same because you can not switch off just one core of a cpu.

this feature is for multi cpu systems where a cpu can be REALLY shutdown (switched off)

Re: PHC packaging

i know but what sould i do? ... thats the gentoo way ;-) ... a "normal" package wich builds and installs the module would be good for all gentoo users i think.

OT: why arent you @ the #phc-linux channel on freenode.net?
