All I can tell you is that it works for me just fine. I've installed three different versions of Mint on this machine using the Liquorix 64-bit kernel and it has worked all three times. Works perfectly fine with a Liquorix x64 kernel. I don't use 32-bit for anything anymore. If I were stuck in 32-bit mode for Linux, I'd just hold my nose and run Windows 7 x64 and use Throttlestop to make the E8435 behave.
